To file forms on the MCA V3 portal — whether for company incorporation, annual filings, or any other compliance — every Director and Designated Partner must first register as a Business User on the portal. This registration is linked to your DIN/DPIN and is a one-time process.

Who Needs to Register?

  • Directors of a Company (linked via DIN)
  • Designated Partners of an LLP (linked via DPIN)

If you are a Practising Company Secretary, CA, or CMA filing on behalf of clients, you register separately as a Professional User — this guide covers Business User registration only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my Registered User account to file MCA forms as a Director? No. Directors and Designated Partners must register and use a Business User account. A Registered User account does not allow DSC registration linked to DIN/DPIN and cannot be used for form filings in that capacity.

My details are not pre-filling correctly after entering my DIN — what should I do? This usually means the details on your DIN record at MCA are outdated. You may need to update your DIN details via Form DIR-6 before completing registration.

I already have an MCA V2 account — do I need to re-register on V3? Yes. MCA V3 is a separate system and requires fresh registration. Your V2 credentials do not carry over to V3.

I did not receive the OTP on my mobile or email during registration. Ensure the mobile number and email ID you are entering match the ones on record against your DIN at MCA. If they have changed, update your DIN details first via DIR-6 or by filing Form DIR-3 KYC.
