The IEPF-5 E-Verification Report is the web form through which a company or bank’s Nodal Officer or Deputy Nodal Officer verifies a claimant’s Form IEPF-5 application before the IEPF Authority processes the refund. It is governed by Rule 7(3) of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016.

Within 30 days of the claim’s submission, the company/bank must send an online verification report to the Authority, confirming the details in the claimant’s IEPF-5, in the format specified, along with scanned copies of the claimant’s originally submitted physical documents, duly certified by the Nodal Officer.

Who Should File the E-Verification Report / When is it Filed

The Nodal Officer or Deputy Nodal Officer of the company/bank against which an IEPF-5 claim has been filed must submit the E-Verification Report within 30 days of the claimant submitting the following to the IEPF Authority: the IEPF-5 SRN, the date of posting the original documents, and a scanned copy of the postal receipt and duly stamped indemnity bond.
